GooglePay Failures on Stripe Custom Terminals

Stripe and Google have resolved the issues with GooglePay and the payment option has been reenabled. No further action is needed by customers and Stripe will continue to monitor the situation.

Stripe informed RGP that starting at 14:51 UTC on April 11th, 2025, they identified an issue with GooglePay wherein transaction attempts were failing, which is more commonly used by RGP customers for POS transactions on Stripe terminals. They have temporarily removed GooglePay as a payment method option while they work with them on a solution.

Google has acknowledged the issue and Stripe's engineers are working with them on a fix. We will update you once we have additional information to share.
